PURPOSE: 

The Front Desk Administrator serves as the first point of connection for everyone who walks through our doors, creating an environment where people feel seen, welcomed, and valued from their very first interaction. Through hospitality, clear communication, and excellence in daily responsibilities, this role helps remove barriers and connect people to ministries, staff, and next steps. Ultimately, this position supports the church’s mission by ensuring every interaction reflects the love of Christ and the culture of our church.


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Front Desk
  • Receives all guests at Front Desk.
  • Oversee phone system - handle all incoming calls, keep Southstone Church voicemail greetings current, user administration
  • Receive packages / mail intake

General Administration
  • Oversee Southstone Church database (PCO) - data entry; keep database current
  • Support Processing Connection Cards 
  • Process Workflows including "Contact People Who Filled Out Connection Card"
  • Oversee staff work area/storage closet - order office supplies; manage inventory
  • Responsible for linen process and inventory for events
  • Stocking Coffee Supplies for Staff
  • Provide Copy Machine oversight

Operations Team Administration

  • Assist Facilities with Project Administration as needed
  • Assist Operations Pastor with projects & Administration
  • Showing up and supporting the team in any role needed

COMPETENCY/KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Solid Christian faith
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Creative writing skills
  • Proficient in Google Suite
  • Good time-management skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Must be detail-oriented, accurate and thorough
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to handle change, delays and unexpected events
  • Friendly Face

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1 years administration or related work experience preferred
  • Previous ministry experience preferred

PHYSICAL DEMAND REQUIREMENTS:
  • The physical demands may include but are not limited to: sitting, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting up to 30 pounds as needed to fulfill job duties and requirements.
